A
ges ago, alchemists discovered
that they could combine two
soft metals — tin and copper —
to produce bronze, a hard metal. This is
one of the earliest examples of synergy,
the interaction of two or more elements
to produce an effect greater than the
sum of their individual capabilities.
That pretty well describes the
expanded portfolio of solutions and
enhanced customer service resulting
from the partnership of Atlantic Voice
& Data (AVDS) and Endeavor Tech-
nologies. For more than 15 years, AVDS
has provided customers with best-of-
breed voice and data networking solu-
tions, while Endeavor’s focus has been
on proactive maintenance and help desk
support, particularly in the Microsoft
environment. Industry trends toward
voice/data convergence created an ideal
environment in which to blend the two
organizations.
“AVDS continues to evolve its
offerings to help customers take advan-
tage of converged voice/data solutions,
but there’s often an opportunity to go a
step further,” said AVDS CEO Granville
Triumph, a 25-year veteran of the voice
communications industry. “Now we
have a dedicated group of Microsoft
certified engineers and technicians we
can partner with to provide managed
network services, and Endeavor can call
upon our voice and data expertise. We
see it as a win-win for customers.”
Another win is the increased levels
of customer service afforded by the
partnership. Endeavor now has a dedi-
cated customer advocate whose job is
to ensure that customer requests are
handled efficiently.
“There’s a real team atmosphere,
with everyone focused on service,” Tri-
umph said. “We’ve received many com-
pliments from customers.”
Although the word synergy may
have been overused in business circles
in recent years, it perfectly describes the
partnership of AVDS and Endeavor.
Because of it, these two organizations
can make technology magic for their
customers.
